    Default Scoretracker - Advanced stats

    Here I'll explain the 2 stats pages that a user can see once they've entered some scores:

    Score Overview:
    First, select your name from the drop down list and then choose the course option. You can select All courses or an individual course. Below is my score overview set to all courses. Note, you can also see my current handicap and best handicap, number of rounds played etc.

    Above you can see the stats for the last 10 rounds I played.
    NR= Not Recorded
    There were a few rounds there where I didn't record FIR, GIR, Scrambling or penalties so NR is shown a few times.
    Tip: If you record putts then can actually work out GIR and Scrambling even if you didn't record them specifically. E.g. If you parred a hole and took 2 putts then you made a successful GIR. If you parred a hole and took 1 putt then you missed the GIR and made a successful scramble

    Advanced Stats:

    Above you can see my advanced stats page. Again, there are filters so you can select individual courses, individual tees or even Par 3's, 4's etc.

    Note: Handicap (Average)
    This is not your handicap. It is purely a simple average of your scores for each category. e.g. Last 5 rounds added together and divided by 5.

    A quick analysis of my stats:
    GIR: Recently, I've been averaging about 7 greens in regulation per round but only average about 1 in 5 (20%) successful scrambles. So, I need to work on my short game/chipping because I'm not getting up and down often enough to save par. This is very true as although I've played a few rounds already this year , I've only been to the range once and my wedge game is badly in need of some work

    FIR/Penalty strokes:
    I've been working hard at accuracy from the tee and my FIR has improved recently and more importantly, I've not hit too many OB's and am consequently leaking less penalty strokes than I was a while ago.

    Spending a little time analyzing your scores in this way can really help identify what area/s you most need to focus on.
    So, get out of bashing yourself for too many double or triple bogeys, start analyzing why you're leaking the shots and work on that specific area of your game.

    I hope that over time, a lot of members get involved in helping each other analyze their stats.
