All over the board weekend for me - shot 102 on Friday in a competition - worst round in ages then shoot an 82 on Sunday on the same course! God this game can be frustrating!
At least it was 102 then 82 and I can work this week knowing things aren't that bad - had it been reverse it would have been one long week!![]()
Shot my best of the year so far in the Windsor Park monthly medal

Mental note.... Grant's handicap.......subtract 4
Nice driving, nice scoring, thanks for making my wallet lighter.
I'll get you next time.
Nice one Granto. Those swing changes must be working out for you!
Shot 46-41 today at Tokiwadai Cherry Golf Course. Absolutely the lllloooonnnngggggeeeeesssstttttt round of golf in my life. Scheduled tee time 9:30 a.m. finish time 5:30 p.m. (one hour lunch break.) And this course was only 5000 yards long from the back tees! Very narrow, OB both side of every hole. Needless to say, there was no rhythm to be found, so my tees shots were horrible. On the plus side, my short game was really good. 2 sand saves, 1 chip in and only 28 putts. Why did I play there? My brother-in-law is a member there (don't ask me why, it's brutal) and he treated me to a free round. I've been married for 10 years and this was the first time he invited me to play with him. He shot 105. he...he...he... I think I'll be busy next time if he asks me to join him there again.
Take a look at the course layout if you want a giggle...

It's quite old and run down, but apparently it was decent in its day and actually hosted an LPGA event. According to the b-i-l they have over 1200 members as it's one of the cheapest places to play in the Kawanishi area.
I can't wait to be back in Canada in a couple of weeks...where I can play 36 holes in 8 hours on a full-length course!
Sunday at Windsor was great !
After getting on train, it starts raining.
No excuse, but so so.
Front half was terrible 57.
Of course 1 st time here, but everthing went bad.
Latter half is 44.
Luckily, last 3 holes were par. This was great for me.
Thanks members
I took some photos at party. I will upload later.

Played at Windsor at the monthly tournament with the GG crew. Was paired up with Scott, Dean and Michael. Had a good time with the group, and give them credit to keeping me positive throughout the round. The first nine showed signs of my game improving but it was all wiped away by the time I finished the back. :-(
44 /16 putts
53 /18 putts
97 / 34 putts.
- Still struggling off the tee with my woods, when I was in the fairway I was way short, often being out driven by Scott and Michael using their irons. I was hitting these high fades that just didn't go anywhere. I think where I got into trouble is when I started swinging harder in the back 9, turning the fades into slices.
- I was also using some new (second hand) irons that I'm trying out, but my distance was off, so that hurt me in a number of approach shots and par 3s.
- Finally, really happy with my putting, I made some long ones and only two 3-putts.

Played Windsor Park G&CC from the blue tees today.
Despite the crap weather forecast, we never got any rain![]()
Shot 84
IN 44
OUT 40
1 birdie
Much like last time, this was another potential sub 80 round spoiled by shite putting - 37 puttsOver-reading shortish putts. Need to just bang 'em in the hole Tiger-like fashion
First sub 80 round of the year is coming soon![]()
They're just jealous. 37 putts in a round is a bad bad day on the greens for me.
Whereas 37 putts in a round is worthy of a partyfor them.

no jealousy here31 putts is still my average.....i'd be leading on scoretracker if i hadn't been deleted
I guess it's time to pay up if i want people to seemore of my stellar putting stats up there

I participated in a competition at Dai-Atsugi CC.
I got my best scorefrom Red tee.
Green was slow, it suited for me.
The course, mainly about Red tee, was remade easier than before.
A bunker was buried and the distance from Red tee in a few holes are shorter.

Played the Taiyo Kawaguchiko Short Course today. Taiyou Kawaguchi
Was on my own but unfortunately missed a message that subramanian_ravi would have come along for a hit...sorry bout that
didn't keep score (except the birdies of course). just played 18 straight thru and then another 4 holes over 4 times or so, so in 3 hours with a bit of break played 34 holes holes though they were all par 3's bar one.
a handful of birdies, lots of pars but some good practice all round. first outing with the new putter which was fun. sunk some good ones including a 20 footer for birdie on the last hole of the day for birdie with the manager outside watching me(never mind the skulled chip over the green down the hill on the 13th with the grounds staff looking on
) had a bit of trouble with the pace of the greens....my putting mat is supposedly 14 on the stimpmeter according to the case but these greens would have been maybe 8 so left a few short....except the 4 ftr. for birdie that i rammed 8 feet past the hole

lots of fun though.
Which See more putter did you buy?
Early days I know but do you think their concept works?
i got the standard (read cheapest!) model the fgp. I'd read about it quite a while back and really liked the idea. still getting used to it and it's hard to know what to watch when I'm putting on a course...do I watch the back of the ball and focus on the alignment dot in practice or what?? i was trying to keep the alignment dot in my vision whilst i putted most of today. it seemed to work well. putts i hit were on the line i wanted to hit them, i was watching the line on my ball. they didn't always go in but that's my green reading and bad eyesso far so good though. anything to help me line up straights gotta be good for me though. i've missed my fair share through bad alignment that's for sure.
