Below are some screenshots of the "Add Score" page. I'll explain the procedure here but after you've done it once, it's a piece of cake
1. After you select “Add Scores” from the menu at the top, a map of Japan will appear. To select the course you played, click on the area of Japan and then prefecture to bring up a list of courses in that area. You can also select courses from the drop down menu below the map.
Note: I've added about 100 courses into the database so far - all the courses that have been mentioned on this website by members have been added. A project is underway and within the next couple of weeks, all courses in Japan will be in the database![]()
2. Set the date! By default the date is set to today's date so please be careful and set this first.
NB: It’s very rare in Japan but if you happen to play 2 rounds in one day, you’ll need to set different dates for the 2 rounds. The system only allows one round recorded for each calendar day. Also, if you played 27 holes you can only enter data for 18 holes. In Japan, you can't hand in scorecards for 9 holes so I followed the same system here.
3. Select the tees you played (Blue, White, Red etc.)
4. Once you select the tees, the hole by hole data for that course will appear below. Here you can see the date for Windsor Park - Blue tees.
5. At the top, you can see 5 ON buttons. By default the advanced stats are switched off. So, if you have old scorecards and only recorded your gross score, you can just enter that.
Or if you have old scorecards and recorded putts as well as gross score, you can switch on that column. Once you start recording advanced stats (Fairways hit, GIR etc.) then just click the ON buttons and all the drop down lists and boxes will become selectable.
6. So, just enter whatever stats you recorded for that round and once finished, click “Save” at the bottom.
Note 1: When entering advanced stats, the Scrambling column will only become selectable if you at first select “No” for GIR. If you hit a green in regulation then there’s no scrambling stat to record for that hole.
Note 2: If you forget to enter a stat in one of the boxes, the system won’t let you save the data. In this case, just double check what you missed.
