Thread: Scoretracker - Bug reporting, help needed etc.

If you encounter any problems or need some help using the scoretracker, please post in here and I will resolve any issues as soon as I can

If you are going to start using the scoretracker system soon, please PM a list of courses you have played and have scorecards for.
At the moment, the database has about 100 courses in it and there's a project underway to add all of Japan's courses.

Someone reported the following:

On the Add score page, the pop up calendar looks distorted with the dates out of alignment.

It should look like this:



If it doesn't look correct for you, then please let me know what browser you are using (IE6, IE7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3 etc.) Thanks

Hey Grant this "Score Tracker" is gonna be a lot of fun! Thanks for getting it going! I put in one score... had a mistake and needed to edit that days' stats... How would I go about that??? Thanks!

Please be careful with the date. Only I can change it via admin.

Please tell me the wrong date and the correct one and I'll change it.

Date was OK... just had an extra stroke I needed to add. Sorry about that!

Anyway I'm just a happy camper... I get to reset my handicap and give you guys a run for your money!

No problem. You can fix that yourself.

In the "Score Overview" click the round that you made the mistake in. A pop up window will appear where you can edit the mistake and save the updated record:



So, click the 83 or 91 to fix your error.

My handicap is 15.5... Grant come on over... bring your Bank Book!

Sorry, but that's still a provisional handicap. You need to enter 8 more rounds

That's a real shame! Had high hopes for a few minutes! OK... 8 more scores comin' up!

How far back can we go to add in scores... 2001... 2002???

As far back as you like. So, that first round you played in 1923 can go in the database

Oh and Young Fella... What do you do if the course you played is not listed on the possible courses list?

Tell me the name and I'll add it.

Within 2 or 3 weeks all Japanese courses will be in the system

Checkmate... which I played 2x... 2 weeks ago. I won't go back over a month though. As much as I would like to add that 165 that I shot back in '97... just wouldn't be fair, but anything recent... seems like it would pretty much reflect where a workable handicap should be. Thanks for doin' this Grant... should be Good!

Works fine so far on Firefox / Mac OSX, just need to grad the score card to put numbers.

This is great functionality add to GG, merci Grant.

OK... I'll give you that it's not a JGA handi, but
and it is a BIG BUT...
A GG Handi is going to be more ligit... more fun to play with! Pretty small group of people and if so n' so claims a big handi it's gonna fly like a brick! So we are left with a fun and a fair system where everybody can join in! Very few places in Golf where this can happen... so I'll take my GG Handi any day of the week! Also with Score tracker... it's alive and it moves as it should. You don't have to wait for somebody in an office to decide to process your score... when you turn it in... it's in. Over a period of time this should be really good!

Trying to add my scores from Biwaike golf club but only allows for blue and yellow tees. No option for white or other.

Did want to say this has been very easy to use and interesting. Neat to go over a round when I get home... remember the shots ... revel in the good ... understand my mistakes and see where it all fits! Makes the Good Better and the Bad Bearable... when all is put in Perspective by the S.T.! I'm Sold! Just perfect! Thank You!

Almost 800 courses in the database now

Hey Grant my scores disappeared and my name seems deleted from the ST Base??? Did I hit a wrong button or something? Thanks for your time on this.

I'm in the middle of registering right now, and on the first page it says, "Maximum allowed handicap is 40. If you don't have a handicap please select n/a."

However, when I select 'n/a' (since I don't have a handicap yet), an error message comes up saying, "Please Enter Your Enter Handicap."
