The 2nd Annual Golfjin World Cup @ Windsor Park G&CC, May 21



Thanks to everyone who played in the 2nd annual Golfjin World Cup. After getting drenched at the last couple of events, it was nice to see the sun out for a change.

6.30am:


We had 22 teams from all over the globe competing in this event.


And there were some colourfully attired teams competing for the best (worst!) dressed:

First off on hole 10:


The Competition:
As like last year, we played a 2-person Texas Scramble which is always a fun format. It’s nice to see lots of pars and birdies on the scorecards for a change.

There were a number of very handy teams competing this year and last years winners, USA II (Marcus & Scott) made a very valiant defense of their title.

Congratulations to Japan II (Uchida-san & Matsuura-san) who won the event with a net 60


Charity donation:
And thanks to Mr. Anonymous who donated ¥17,000 to charity; ¥500 for each of the 34 birdies that teams scored.

Really enjoyed the day, despite playing woeful.

Great golf tournament, thanks everyone for participating, and hats off to the organizers as well.
