Mulligans Winter Classic @ Murasakizuka GC, Jan 29

Thanks to everyone who played in the first Mulligans Winter Classic. It was another beautiful winters day for golf and Murasakizuka was in excellent condition given the time of year.

And a big thanks to Moto, Kieron and the staff of Murasakizuka GC for looking after us so well.

We had 27 players contesting this competition and it was interesting to see whether 4 mulligans would help improve people's scores much. Interestingly, I think for a lot of us they didn't help as much as expected!

Congratulations to Yumi Sakaguchi who won the event shooting a personal best 90.

And for those who went to Legends - I confess to going home to drop off the clubs and then waking up at 3am. What was in that big bottle on the bus?
Great day - I am in again - and determining when to use the mulligans - well for some of us it was dead easy.

Grant, it was a great day, thanks for the unique idea.
Kieron, Moto and the gang at Murasaki you did a great job and really took care of us.
As for the mulligans, with only 4 you really need to be careful when to use them, if there were more mulligans allowed I think scores would drop but with 4 you runt he risk, as many of us did, I ending up worse with the mulligan than your original shot.
Definitely will play this again next year.
