Segovia Golf Club in Chiyoda review by BiginJapan Date 08/01/2012

Played this Desmond Muirhead course for the first time yesterday and was impressed. Almost every hole has a wow factor and water is a big part of this course. At least three of the par 3s has an island green witch is always fun. Playing this course for the first time can be tricky because you have to place your shots on many fairways. This course is pretty hard for amateur like me but I enjoyed playing there like there is no tomorrow. The c (more)

Chiba Central G.C. review by Granto Date 02/01/2012

I played this course for the first time last week. Overall, it was a fun day out on a reasonably good course. The layout's nothing spectacular but there's enough variety to keep things interesting. And it was in pretty good condition given the time of year. Dual green system though so don't expect much variety on the putting surface. Easy to get to by train from central Tokyo as the course operates a shuttle bus service from Goi stati (more)

Kazusa Monarch C.C. review by Backswing Date 26/11/2011

A group of regular players who can all play, with proper handicaps, 16 of us, off the blue tees at 6,631 yds, and the winning stableford score was 32. Tough layout - many visually intimidating and narrow looking landing areas. Late in the year and the course was immaculate. Greens at 10' 8" so quite quick and they are also quite strongly shaped so many difficult putts. Good caddies who know the course well; it is a little pricey at Y20k (more)

Kitsuregawa C.C. review by ChrisJP Date 16/11/2011

Kitsuregawa CC is a rather large "facility" (3 x 9 holes), that offers a good alternative to the "cozy" atmosphere that I've enjoyed in the 4 different courses I've so far had a chance to play. Metallic's cabinets are doubling as dividers into the windowless unique llocker room. No real "clubhouse" downstairs, but a cafeteria looking like any shopping mall food-court, offering limited food and beverage, with single view on the cart parking. At l (more)

Kimisarazu Golf Links review by Phil Rowe Date 07/11/2011

This is a wonderful course, with a great combination of unique memorable holes -- some short, some deceptively long but all very different from one another. What they have in common is the need for solid course strategy, solid irons, solid approaches, and the being on the right side of the risk/reward of your shots. The greens are tough and now in very good condition, so clearly an improvement over the last review here. The driving range (more)

Fuji Classic review by BiginJapan Date 31/10/2011

Played Fuji Classic with a few Golfjin members and we had a great time. The course is really beautiful and fair for the most part. Fairways pretty wide but the greens were super fast and every single one of us truggled on the dance floor. I did not go to the practice area so I cant comment on that. The course looks easier than it is. We played from the blue tees and it was quite long(especially for me - 7.101 yards) Also it is not often that you (more)

Kasumigaura C.C. review by Granto Date 07/10/2011

Played here on Oct.1 at the Autumn Scramble. Definitely one of the flattest courses I've played in Japan - very little in the way of elevation change on any of the holes. There are a few interesting holes but a lot of them weren't that memorable except for the Par 4 18th with it's island green. I guess I'm getting too used to mountain-side courses as I didn't find this course all that interesting! One point worth noting is the course is (more)

Moonlake G.C. review by Granto Date 07/10/2011

Played this course for the first time at the B&G Cup. It has an interesting layout with water coming into play on a lot of holes. Nice big greens and when we played the course was in good condition. It has a big practice green and good-sized driving range. Overall, I enjoyed it recommend others to give it a try some time. (more)

Chuo Tsuru C.C. review by Fang66 Date 06/10/2011

Nice little course friendly staff pretty reasonable green fees, I think I paidabout 7000 yen last weekday round and about 10000 on the weekend including lunch. the course is always in good condition although the greens are quite soft and it seems most players don't know about repairing pitch marks ( I ussually repair 3 or 4 each hole but they are still riddled with unrepaired ones) greens are also quite slow weekdays (they cut them on Fri (more)

Hanno Kusunoki C.C. review by alongdriver Date 14/08/2011

Played here on Friday. http://www.pacificgolf.co.jp/hanno/index.asp I took the Seibu Ikebukuro line Semi Express from Ikebukuro which took about 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the Super Express takes about 40 minutes. There is a club bus that runs between the course and station (every hour I think) which is about a 15 minute trip. A taxi to the course is about 2000 yen. The practice range is a joke. Only 3 stalls and about 10 meter (more)
