This is a wonderful course, with a great combination of unique memorable holes -- some short, some
deceptively long but all very different from one another. What they have in common is the need for
solid course strategy, solid irons, solid approaches, and the being on the right side of the
risk/reward of your shots. The greens are tough and now in very good condition, so clearly an
improvement over the last review here.
The driving range is a bit small with just eleven stalls and particularly impressive. The practice
putting green is quite nice as is the approach/bunker practice area. Clubhouse is top notch and the
food actually pretty good. Best of all is the convenience to Tokyo - but it all comes at a stiff
price on weekends.

The second or third time I played this course and its always a fun and challenging round. The
layout is challenging, not a lot of OB, however there is a lot of mounds and undulation throughout
the course, and rough is fairly sticky and can be longer than average in certain places. So if your
tee shots and approaches are not well placed, even in the fairway, you can get penalized with a bad
lie. This course isn't for everyone, you need patience, since even good shots may end up in bad
spots.
In general the course was well maintained but the greens looked a bit battered, where it seems the
general population doesn't fix their ball marks. The club house was one of the best I've seen...
brand new and very modern.
The course is about 1 hour from central Tokyo via the AquaLine, with a price to match. 20K for a
weekend round not including lunch which is typical Japanese fare, but higher quality than most.
