Message from the St. Andrews Chieftan:

Now into its second year, this year's St. Andrew Cup golf competition will be held at the stunning Brick & Wood club in Chiba. The 72 par 7,002 yard course designed by Desmond Muirhead was established in 2000 and is a highly rated course.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a beautiful golf course with a very friendly atmosphere.

The tournament itself will be an amateur mens'/ladies' mixed individual strokeplay competition over 18 holes, scored on the Shin Perrier Hidden Hole handicap system, with The St Andrew Cup being awarded to the player with the best net score.

The winner will also be invited to this year's St. Andrew Ball on Saturday, 26th November where the trophy will be presented by his Excellency David Warren, British Ambassador to Japan.
Meanwhile in the team competition, Scotland will seek to defend last year's title against Japan and the rest of the world, with the H- ('Japanese Phoenix') trophy awarded to the team with the best average net score.
