Yes
No change…yet
It's gotten worse!
GG.Com will be 1-year-old on December 17thand I was curious if members had noticed an improvement in their golf since joining the group.
The $64m question: Has your golf improved since you joined GG?
Is your handicap better than before? The same?
or worse?
I'd love to know and let's see if we can compile some cast iron statistics that GG membership helps people become better golfers
As for me, I've gone from HC12 to about HC6 or 7 in the last 12 months.
(Haven't seen my latest JGA rating yet so still claiming 8)
So, a resounding yes from me![]()

I would say I'm playing better overall since joining GG ... but still need to play more to get greater consistency.
While some golfers can play 3-4 times a year and still break 80, I need to play regularly if I'm to break 90.
Maybe I should start sponsorahacker.com![]()
Anyhow Grant, cheers for the site mate.
My play may be as consistent as the sand in the bunkers at Windsor Park, but my network of golf friends and the fun factor has soared!

Yes, I think I had been improved.
Circumstnace during play has much changed between playing with Japanese only.
We, Japanese do often like, Replace OK within club-length, Gimmi OK and
always white tee except Official competition.
We thought that golf is just play not so formal.
But after joing GG, we had new world, such as Stable-for and etc.
We studied a lot.
I also enjoyed so much.

It's taken me a while to figure out how to reply.
Yes, my game has improved, and am awaiting my official handicap review.
Why has it improved? I believe the competition has made me take golf a little more seriously. I've always loved playing golf, but now I want to be more competitive. This competitiveness and the camaraderie of playing with other golfers with similar aspirations has led to my improvement.
Bottom line, thanks Grant for the site, and to anybody I've won money from or lost money to let's keep doing it next year.
Cheers

I can't see how my game could have gotten worse, so yes.

My best score before GG was 147. I now have a 97, but am usually anywhere from 100-120. So a resounding yes. I can also play golf whenever I want, which means a lot to me.
Good work Granto!!
Mine got worse. From a life-time best of a pair of 76's and a 78 on an easy course in Hawaii, I am lucky to break 90 now.![]()
I can't say that mine is better on the course, but I seem to be striking the ball better at the range, particularly this past month since I have made a concentrated effort to iron out my swing. If I can ever make it out to a round with some of the members then I am sure my game will get even better![]()
It depends. Don't think my golf score has gotten better. But I believe I have gotten alot better at drinking alcohol and playing at the same time.
Yes, definately. I went from a 40HC down to about a 30HC and I've broken 100 a few times since joining.
Dramatically better - fueled by good company, frequent opportunities to play, and good roles models to watch playing. Golfjin remains a great idea. Kudos to all involved, starting with Grant.

Well, I'm about 40 strokes better than I was when I made my last post to this thread, so I'd have to say yes, definitely!
I've improved from a 27 hc to a 17 hc, I"m hoping to get down to 15 or below before year end. But I'll be just happy shooting consistently shooting below 100 and preferably in the 95-85 range. My improvement is really because of this site, being able to play regularly and playing with other players - learning from better players and avoid the mistakes of beginners. I enjoy playing with both for different reasons.![]()
Handi-watch! I just corrected the handicap on my profile the other day...
I just recently joined but after reading through the forum my living room swing has gotten better.
I hope to be part of an outing soon to show you the wonders of internet practice.![]()
