It should be a great addition. I certainly won't tax the system since I seem to be stuck shooting 85 no matter where I play or how I hit the ball.
85 at Tama yesterday, 44/41, doubles on 1,10 & 18.
Was very pleased with how I struck the ball, I hit some great irons and a 3wood on to the green from 240 only to 3 putt for par.
Distance control was a major issue, had wedges on line come up short and a few irons that looked perfect only to fly over the green.
Really needed you A-short game at Tama with small, elevated greens that tested you all day long, sadly my game wasn't up to the challenge.

I know what you mean, I have a hard enough time keeping track of my strokes...![]()
Since the recent GG vs. ALT competition was a team gross score event, I feel it's a good idea to post my individual score. I shot 81 (38-43) at Tama Hills yesterday. Obviously, I was happy with the front nine. I let it get away on the back nine with a brain-dead triple bogey on the relatively easy 12th and a couple of three-putt holes. I don't know how I managed to do it, but I parred all the par-3 holes! Of these four (three not so) short holes, I was on in regulation on just one (the shortest), and then just barely!
Alot of people use a separate scorecard to indicate each stat.
score and putts obviously but then
s - Sand save (or up and down from a bunker)
g- GIR
f- Fairway
I used to write one in the corner of the box for each hole on the scorecard.
You can then take it home and enter it. Do a little math and you can see sand saves (s on a hole you made par on) add up the others and you can see each.
It can be pretty time consuming but you do get the hang of it. The site will no doubt dictate what you want to track.
I have seen some that enter the club they hit into the green, driving distance, it just depends how detailed you want to get.
Needless to say, do the tracking in the cart between holes, not while on the green! The group behind will thank you for it!
I've used quite a few score tracking systems in the last few years ranging from the overly simplistic to the ridiculously complex.
For the GG one, I've gone for a happy medium (I hope). A system that is relatively easy to use that calculates the core stats that are useful to people.
And the notation system which I'll publish tomorrow only requires a couple of extra seconds recording per hole whilst your playing.![]()
I'm with the Captain on this. I carry two score cards and enter the data at the end of each hole. Sometimes, there is not enough room for those terrible holes.![]()

42/43 ... HAD TO GET THE BAD TASTE OF MY LAST ROUND OUT OF MY MOUTH. DRIVER SOLID... 32 PUTTS... IRONS A BIT SHAKY!Feels better than my Monday fiasco! Most importantly arm wasn't hurting and I'm able to practice again!

I'm going to close this thread and open up a new one in the scoretracker forum. It makes more sense to have this thread in there.
