So you're using FREE Golf GPS smartphone app and are really happy with it? Why not share?

My personal favorite is BBGPSGolf (for BB) a.k.a. PinHighGPS (for Android). If you can't find the course from the list, you can map it yourself using Google Map - done it for several course in Japan.
Easy on the battery (for my Android) and works anywhere in the world.
You only need data access to download the course, then it stays in cache.

Golf shot seems to be the most popular choice for members but it's not free.
