Granto's Predictions: Been very busy the last couple of weeks so didn't have time to put my thoughts down on virtual paper. And quite glad I didn't have time last week as I picked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 15th in the last game week (AT&T National)

Anyway, this is our first LPGA event of the season and it's a major so I wouldn't want you picking in the dark for this important Gameweek.

The Defender: Paula Creamer
The Pink Panther has 5 top 10 finishes this season (out of 10 events) and finished 2nd a few weeks ago in Phoenix. One of the top players on tour so should be up there come Sunday.

The Contenders: Here's a list of some of the main contenders

Cristie Kerr

Karrie Webb

Some on form - some not but all capable of winning this weekend.

Dark horse: Natalie Gulbis
Definitely one of the cutest ladies on tour but doesn't quite have the game to match. No top 10 finishes this year (yet) but I'm sure they'll be plenty of guys cheering her on anyway.

Winner: Yani Tseng
Forget Tiger - Forget McIlroy
The Pro golfer who's kicking the most derriere right now is this young Taiwanese lady. She already has 4 majors (still only 22 y-o), 3 victories this year and 8 top 10 finishes. Almost a surefire bet to be in the final group come Sunday.....

The US Women's Open is not finished yet thanks to a fair amount of weather over the last few days. If it finishes today, points will be upadated. Looking a bit iffy at the moment...
