Granto's Predictions:

After a stellar first week of predictions at the Masters......here's some more drivel for you to ponder over.
(I did predict Charl Schwartzel as a dark horse for the Masters ....but decided not to pick him )

Winner: Er....either an American or a non-American. Not giving anything away this week as the field is not exactly loaded with ringers

The Defender: Adam Scott. After an excellent finish in the Masters this guy must be feeling pretty confident about his title defence in Texas. He's got himself a belly putter and actually looks like he's back to his best after a long time in the doldrums. Expect a good finish from him.

The Contenders:
Not so many big names playing in this event so plenty of guys in contention. Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy, Ryan Palmer and several others all had good showings in the Masters but could well be a bit jaded this week. Plenty of Pro's who spent last week watching The Masters on telly will be fresh this week and raring to go (Holmes, Hoffman, Howell etc.)

Dark horses: Jhonattan Vegas - Already has one tour win in the bag even though this is his rookie season. High on confidence with a swing only a mother could love but has proven he can mix it with the best come Sunday.

Surprises: Justin Leonard - Top 10 prediction. He's won this event 3 times (2000, 2001, 2007) but has been off form for a while. Expect the Texas feelgood factor to kick in and Justin'll have a decent finish this week.

Shockers: Jesper Parnevik - Sorry Jesper....early flight for you

Still managed to shoot 80 which is pretty impressive...kind of

almost took kevin na, he's about due for a win....not this week though

Just watched his 15 on Yahoo. he probably now thinks that 5 off the tee would have been a better option.

Don't hear that too often at a pro golf event

So, he went from 1 under to 11 over after that hole and got it back to 8 over.
I'm impressed he didn't end up with a 90+
