Hi Guy's
I wonder if any of you golfer's out there have had to deal with these sort of hazard's.
I play on a small Par 32. 9 hole golf course in N.S.W.Australia and apart from 6 dams, 18 bunkers, 2 creeks, and to many tree's to count, this year we have had on our course, Kangaroo's that love to play in the bunker's, 2 large Pythons, many Red bellied Black snakes, and big brown snakes, both very poisonous, large Monitor lizards, frilled neck lizards, and much smaller ones, wild ducks that shit on the greens, honey eaters that make their nest on the wall of the 9th hole bunker now if you tee off and have the misfortune to loose your ball down a hole you have to be careful as the honey eater lay their eggs in there and of course the snakes know this, which leaves you in a dilemma of trying to get your ball out without beiing bitten.
Then we have the bush if your ball goes out into the bush you have to deal with the Tic's, they are little blood sucking inscects and they can inflicked a lot of pain because you do not know when they are on you untill they bite you and start to suck you blood, so no NO I do not chase my lost ball's, and of course you have the Sea Eagle, Kookaburras, Galah's, Cockatoo's and lots more.
But we love our little course and play there 3 times a week
Have a great day everyone

You get a few non-poisonous snakes on courses in Japan and wild boars but nothing quite as challenging as what you have to deal with in Oz![]()
Where do you play in Oz Bob?
I've seen foxes, boars and snakes on courses in Japan ... and plenty of snowmen.![]()
Sounds a lot like my Local Pub back home on a Friday night.
In the Sunshine State you get Kangaroos (sometimes in droves) and the usual Cockatoo's and Galah's but thats about it. Up north I've seen signs for Crocodiles but fortunately never actually come across a live one on the course.
Cheers
Chris
Do you also get this activity on your golf course??

At times we have those vicious old things they call caddies. If your unlucky, you'll be accompanied for the day with one who'll order you to play with this or that club, giving you no space to object or continuously pushing you to rush your play. But from what I've heard, golf in Korea goes to the extreme where the caddy is the Queen and the golfers have to obey her word.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for your interesting comments, I play on a 9 hole course at Darlington Beach Resort just 30K from Coffs Harbour in N.S.W., as yes you do get a bit of sexual activity amongest the Roo's, the big bucks can get aggresive but if you just give them their space and they won't bother you, we had one brave golfer after a few tinnies at the B.B.Q. after the game when along came a large Monitor lizard looking for a cheap feed bits of sausge etc it was about 4-5ft in lenth and he thought he would be smart and pick it up, what a mistake it tore him to pieces he had to go to hospital but was okay in the end, but he copped it from the locals for biging a dickhead for quite a while after, as I said before if you leave the wildlife be you are quite safe most times.
Have a great Easter everyone
