• Fantasy Golf League: Gameweek 10 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship

Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf ChampionshipGameweek 10 of our fantasy golf league features the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, January 26-29. This is a change to the original schedule (Bob Hope Classic Jan 19-22) as that tournament isn't scheduled this year!

The Abu Dhabi HSCB Golf Championship is the first tournament in the Desert Swing on the European Tour. All the top Euro's will be in attendance so I'm sure there'll be some interesting teams getting picked.

    The Defender: Martin Kaymer

Granto's Predictions: This is definitely going to be a tricky week for picking a winner. Lots of top players are in action including Tiger making his Abu Dhabi debut but a good percentage of them are bound to be rusty this early in the season. Who are you backing to be on song this week? Here's a rundown on some of the contenders.

    The Contenders:

Martin Kaymer: Kaymer's won 3 of the 6 times this events been held so is likely to be a strong pick this week. I think he'll do well but I can't see him making it 3-in-a-row. Prediction: Top 10

Tiger Woods: It's great to see Tiger in action this early in the season and on the European Tour no less. After his victory at the Chevron Challenge, I think he may well have got some of his mojo back and is going to well up for this event. Granto's prediction: Top 10 (one ragged round will spoil his week)

Luke Donald: Not much to write here that hasn't been written before. He's a golf machine and always in with a shout!

Paul Casey: Casey had a very disappointing 2011 thanks to a bizarre injury known as xxxxx (what?!). He seems to be over it now though so expect to see him getting back to his best this year. Paul's won this event twice so could be a good outside bet.

Alvaro Quiros: One big in the final event of 2011 and I can see him continue where he left off with another strong performance.

    The Champion: Charl Schwartzel
I fancy one of the South African's to do well this week as they've already had a couple of events on the Sunshine tour this season.
